Burhan Ocal's "Groove Alla Turca" hits no.2 on "World Music Charts Europe". World-known Turkish musician Burhan Ocal's Doublemoon release album "Groove Alla Turca" became No.2 on the world music list.
The collaborative album made by Burhan Ocal and Jamaaladeen Tacuma has taken the second place in The World Music Charts Europe-WMCE Feb. 2000, selected by the European Broadcasting Union-EBU, among 161 professional world music albums. The list, monthly presented since 1991, is formed by the votes of the 45 DJ's of world wide known radio stations.
"Groove Alla Turca" coming after Khaled's "Kenza" and which was No.41 two months ago, climbed up to No.l O last month. Albums hitting the WMCE lists are sold in the European markets, continuously played on several radio stations and monthly broadcast on the Internet.
"Groove Alla Turca", whose whole recording was made in Turkey, also features Natasha Atlas on vocals, the star of Jean Michael Jarre's last hit single "C'est La Vie"
